Hiya hon - am back from the land of the dead (overtime - unpaid - swines!)

Am working on logistics to represent the GCd in Spain (plans are afoot, oh yes!) I think it would be would a good idea that all members who go to the events in their areas which the others of us can't make should go there representing the whole (GCA)! What'dya think.

That means we are all going to the London show next month :D

Hugs

Excellent idea! I'm looking forward to tell anyone who would listen that I've been at the London show.

RE: Geographically Challenged Association

I love ice-cream....what I have to do for this Association to get some cocos-ice-cream?

Welcome to the Geographically Challenged Association thread.

The intention of this section is to talk freely about all the things that Geographically Challenged members of the forum are missing.

This thread has 2 main proposes:

1- A friendly-support for issues that cannot be solved. For that we have big arms and tons of Kleenex*. We can talk about the evil mankind and our cruel destiny of living far far away.

2- Do something about it. By this, we mean: get in touch with some other gentle souls that are willing to do something for you and work together for the common good. We can arrange stuff-shippings, post videos, pictures, and everything that makes us feel closer.

* addition of ice cream is on the board´s agenda, I guess it will be approved soon

*HUGS*

Whoa, my fellow GCA members, I'm lost in the land of office work lately! So sorry I'm not as social as normal and I'm trying to pull myself back out soon. But really, the money is decent and ilex and I need the funds to get going to Belgium together next year. ;)

*HUGS*

Oh, but don't feel too sorry for me though because my office is filled with highly attractive tech guys. I'm working on turning a few of them into Covenant fans. And maybe even future GCA members?

I think that I need to join, too. Although I live near Chicago, there is just no decent clubs here anymore. It is so depressing. I haven't been too social lately because my father just had his kidney taken out. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream.

biosphere woes

Well, I just posted the dates for Biosphere over in another part of the forum but I feel compelled to come back here and share my pain with you all, because you will understand...

I'm really deeply upset that I missed Biosphere. He doesn't come here that often- I think his last date before these was a few years ago, in Detroit. Last month he was in Seattle for an electronic festival and prior to that gig (same month) he was in San Francisco. I'm really upset because I could have *made* the SF one. I have domestic frequent flyer miles... I have good friends I could have stayed with... it was on a *Saturday* so no work or classes to miss... I could have flown in, seen the show, and fly back out. I checked his website recently and I saw nothing listed for this.

Biosphere's music really means a lot to me. I'm just heartbroken I missed it. I wish I could put it into words but I can't explain it any better than that.

Geirrrrr, come baaaaaaack...

:( :( ;(

Ohhhh we share your sorrow my girl... Here you have your official GCA blanket with the official GCA spoon for the official GCA ice cream. And of course the GCA official hugger, our friend lush, will hug you all day long. LadyKomachi shall provide Sky Vodka.

I did my small contribution to the GCA yesterday, you can see it in the gallery section

Aww, I've not been out dancing in a few weeks, have the weekends gotten worse? I enjoyed the Nexus 6, we need more Noise on the scene. I've been gone for sad reasons too and I really feel for you, Marci! I'll do a blog update on MS soon to share what's been up with me lately.

I love mint chocolate chip too! :)

Tuxedomoon not over Miami...

Tuxedomoon are playing their 30th anniversary show in Brussels. On my birthday. 11 October. And you know, though I'm really unhappy about not being able to attend this either, I admit that it brings me a little cheer to know that I share a birthday with Tuxedomoon. ;)

Wow, a few of us in the GCA were lucky enough to be among the first to get In Transit! I feel so lucky that not only it came so quickly but it arrived during the calmest weekend I've had in over a month. :)

Well my dears - I have managed to get my pics from London onto a disc - once I work out how to get them on here all will be good.

I am however absolutely SCUNNERED (quaint Scottish saying for thoroughly hacked off) to hear they are playing Oslo in about a month's time. If I had known that I probablly would have gone there instead of Spain so I can get to visit my friends at the sametime.

This is becoming hard work - I don't mind getting no sleep in Berlin, stranded in Glauchau, finding my Hamburg hotel is a brothel, breaking my toe and spraining my knee and ankle in the Netherlands to follow my bois on tour but I do need time to PLAN for my misadventures!!! :schimpf:

Rant over

Cuddles to all - pics will be forthcoming
