Maybe I am on the festival too .....I think, if there are so many people of this forum going to this festival, I should carry some Covenant bootleg DVDs to share them (for free!) ;)

@vexation: don´t loose you hope dear, I´m 26 and it is the first time I make a trip like this. I never thought I would be able to make it, but here I am! this is a once in a lifetime trip for me.

@d_h: I´m taking a pepper spray with me ;D. I´ll try to take my cam to the festival, I´ll dedicate a pic for you :)

Ilex at Amphi After All? Amphi-Ilex!

*New people trained= check.

*Not missing classes, or minimally missed if planned right= check.

*In desperate need of my yearly Euro-fix= check check check

*Euro friends I want to see again= supercheck

*Argentinian friends to meet for the first time= dons moustache and throws sombrero into the air



1) The timing... my god, the timing actually *works*. I'll be checking airlines and IF that next part of the Yearly Ilex Euro-Jaunt checks out,

2) then I will ask for someone to PM me about helping me get a ticket for Amphi.

3) I'd have to land in Germany on 16 July (Wednesday evening), and leave Germany on 21 July (Monday after- grrrrr). That's less than a week.



But what a week it would be!


So, next step is calling airlines, being schedule works.

Hm... I think I have FF miles, but can only be used domestically... like.... to NYC, being Dallas doesn't fly direct to Germany I don't think. Well, Lufthansa does but they are $$$...

check out http://www.airberlin.com für flights. they are going to several cities in the US and there might be a pretty good price...

and have a look at http://www.billigflieger.de they are searching cheap flights

As I'm sure LePand can attest to, airline fares really suck right now, whether in Euro or USD... it's all pretty much around the same price, regardless. :mauer: :!: X(

F*cking fuel prices... don't even get me started or you'll be reading the equivalent of this -------> :schimpf:

So! The search for airfare continues. I have a default plan (meaning, the same plan I use every year but this year involves me making copies of my passport in case I lose it again... LePand! make copies of your passport, trust me!) , but you know, never hurts to check every nook and cranny...

Boy, that was one hell of a parenthetical statement. Sorry about that...

Anyhoo, I shall not be deterred! I am GOING to get my vacation, dammit! Just watch me!
